Last year, I had the pleasure of capturing Becky and Paul’s special wedding day at the beautiful Kilmore Country House. They were surrounded by close family and friends and I don’t think they actually stopped smiling and laughing the entire day.
The location itself was absolutely stunning. Set amidst the Antrim hills, Kilmore Country House offers breath-taking views in every direction. Its hard not to be in awe of it, and to have those views as a backdrop for your wedding ceremony is just phenomenal and a photographer’s dream.
As the day unfolded, I was struck by the relaxed and happy vibe that permeated the event. As a photographer, my aim is always to try and blend myself into the occasion and work away to capture that vibe. I’d love to say that I do that discretely and that people hardly notice that I am there. But to be fair I’d be lying. Becky and Paul’s Wedding was no different than any other of my weddings. I just jumped in like a friend of the family joining in on all the craic, whilst capturing every possible little moment I could see.
Becky and Paul have the loveliest friends and family. The Bridal Party shots were epic fun and filled with lots of very random, yet hilarious moments. Being surrounded by such warmth and happiness, it was impossible not to feel a sense of gratitude for being chosen to document such a special occasion. I was grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it.

Having Tara photograph our wedding felt like having an extra guest. From the moment she walked into the bridal party prep, she was one of the girls, putting us all at ease, making us laugh whilst capturing moments between me and my bridesmaids that will last a lifetime. The grooms party were less organised and needed a female to step in and teach them how to do a buttonhole correctly-luckily for us Tara was on hand!
The whole day was relaxed and filled with laughter, largely down to Tara’s nature and personality. She put all our guests at ease and could sense when the bride needed a couple of minutes breathing space, suggesting we do our couple shots. The photos she took are beautiful and really captured us as a couple and how fun and relaxed our day was. Guests still talk about how much fun but professional she was even 6 months on and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.
