Wedding Photography in the Loft
Lat year I had the pleasure of photographing Brett and Grace’s breath-taking Christmas wedding at the stunning Loft in Templepatrick.
From the moment I arrived the craic was mighty… mum was on the floor painting her nails, Grace and her girlies were multi tasking both their hair and croissant consumption, the resident doggy was visiting and gifts were being given. It was evident that this was going to be a memorable celebration filled with not just beautiful moments but hilarious ones too. As a photographer, I couldn’t help but get excited about capturing all these precious memories on camera.
Brett and the boys arrived to the Loft in Mark’s super sleek and stylish porsche mid morning. The only suitable transport for a bunch of handsome men in tuxedos to be fair!!!! It only took a matter of minutes for the posse to settle into the bar and make it look like a posh, yet comfy Gentlemen’s club.
Once they were safely ensconced and photographed I headed back up to the girls in time for prosecco, the arrival of the stunning bouquets and some fun with the bubble machine….
But the best prep moments were still to come. Once Grace was in her dress her daddy was allowed up to see her. He cried, she cried, everyone cried….. and then he cried again. It was so incredibly adorable.
As a photographer, being able to document these special moments is a true privilege, but there were so many more to come. Their ceremony was conducted by Pastor James Clarke, with music by the talented Mollie McKeever. It was extremely personal with so many unique touches. Personalised vows, the exchange of rings and then love letters written and sealed into an envelope using the wax from their wedding candles. The letters were then placed into a box to open at a future date.
The rest of the day flowed just as beautifully with both gorgeous and funny speeches, sparklers for all, quiet time in the Spa for photographs and then some awesome dancing with the talented Disco Beards. These are the moments that will be treasured for a lifetime, and I am grateful to have been a part of it.
Wedding Photography is not just a profession for me; it is capturing the essence of love and happiness. It is about freezing those beautiful memories in time, allowing you to relive those precious moments whenever you look back at your photographs. I strive to create images that evoke emotions, and I am passionate about delivering photos that tell a story.
So, Brett and Grace, enjoy reliving your beautiful story over and over again in the years to come x
